Jesus Mission started as an Evangelistic Team in 1984. Saju John Mathew, who was a student evangelist then, along with students and youngsters of his region started helping the existing churches in its evangelistic activities by conducting street meetings, small conventions and also involved in door to door and literature evangelism. In 1994, God commissioned them to extend their ministry to Northern part of India, and this opened a new phase in the ministry of Jesus Mission.
In 2005, many churches were emerged as an outcome of the evangelism work of our mission where there were no Christian churches: We registered our organisation as a national body. The churches of Jesus Mission are known as “Yeeshu Sangh” which means the people (assembly) of Jesus. We stand for reviving the Christian community in India, establishing worshiping communities in the villages of India, and meaningfully communicate Gospel to each human being in words and deeds.read more →
Yea, you can have a role in Jesus Mission. If God has put a burden in your heart for the perishing millions in India, please keep in touch with us. Let us share that burden with each other. Together we will seek the mercy of the Lord so that His Spirit may send a great revival in India that will sweep the land with the gospel of grace.
If you are for a great revival, the Lord wants to see that you are an interceder for the land of India, please contact us. We welcome you to our prayer center in Damoh. You are welcome to our Ashram, to stay for a period and invest your time for intercession. We need to see that more and more people are kneeling down before the Lord for His mercy and signing in for a sacrificial intercession. So you can mobilize prayer by meeting people with the same spirit and urging them for a meaningful intercession for India. If you are on the side of God, in His mission, to win the morally ignorant multitude of India who has never heard the name of the Lord meaningfully, we are partners in His mission. Please keep in touch. Together let us build up The Kingdom.
If you have desire for village evangelism, revival of Christian communities, intercession… and not sure what should be done, where to go, whom to contact…. Please contact us.
We felt a lack of local workers who could aid in the missionary work that was going on in these regions. Thus we felt it necessary to have training facilities that could be made available to the locals at their respectable places. The local workers would be a great boon to the Kingdom of God as they are more accustomed to the language and the culture of the people that reside here.
First we started our Bible School in Berhampur. Then we transferred our Bible school to Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, so that the medium of study could be Hindi. God helped us to train many men and women through our ‘Emmaus Bible School’ at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. We had to stop our school in Kullu and Bilaspur for certain reasons.
God helped us to conduct two short-term missionary training programmes in Orissa. We have trained 30 families in Bhubaneswar for a period of 3 months and placed them in 16 districts of Orissa In another phase, we have conducted 6 month training in Kandamal and prepared 25 youngsters from our Rudhaningh Church.
We also hope to extend theological training by extension to our missionaries in the field. Some of them have basic theological studies and some of them are fresh to theological learning.
We are planning to begin a native missionary training centre in Damoh by the end of this year.
